The Highmark Bright Blue Futures charitable giving and community involvement program's goal is to ensure healthier, brighter, stronger futures for all. Our focus is improving equitable access to care, quality of life and economic resilience in the communities we serve.We aspire to improve outcomes in two critical areas: Community Health and Community Economic Resilience. Highmark will consider applications for:
- Programs and services that tie to our Highmark Bright Blue Futures charitable giving program and have a compelling potential impact to the health and well-being of individuals
Highmark generally will not support:
- Organizations whose services have a geographical scope beyond the Enterprise’s core service areas (unless they operate in the same region as an Enterprise subsidiary or affiliate
- Multi-year gifts
- Capital campaigns
- Endowment funds
- Fraternal or civic groups
- Individual causes
- Seed money for startup programs
- Religious programming
- Political causes, candidates, organizations, or campaigns.
Highmark will not provide support to organizations that in their constitution or practice discriminate against a person or group on the basis of the person’s gender, race, color, age, religion, creed, ethnicity, national origin, disability, veteran or military status, marital status, sexual orientation/gender identity, genetic information, or any other category protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
